Introduction

LaMar Danes is in Houston, Texas. Our names are Larry & Margo Gaither. We are breeders of Champion Fawn & Brindle Great Danes. We are dedicated to breeding the very best Danes that we can. All of our Dogs are our pets first and all live inside our home. We are active members of The Great Dane Club of America, The Great Dane Club Of Greater Houston, Inc., The Alamo Great Dane Club and Charter members of The Working Dog Association, we serve on several positions within the clubs.

We began our love of Great Danes after the death of our beloved Boxer “Petra” to bone cancer. After dealing with our grief we decided to get a different breed and a larger dog since we had plenty of land. I had always wanted a Gentle Giant, the “Great Dane”. Our search led us to Tammy Samples of Taro Great Danes located in Texas. We were most impressed that not only did Tammy breed beautiful Danes but she also concentrated on health. We offer many thanks to Tammy for getting us started in this wonderful breed and into the show ring. We cherish our friendship. As our knowledge has grown we have met some wonderful Danes, owners and their breeders. We offer several special important thanks to the following: Dennis & Edna Sypowicz – Dreamaker's Danes and breeders of our newest additions SHADOW and recently our new girl Moon & Dreamer, Very Special Thanks to Vickie Bach – Country Walk Great Danes (breeder of SudZ, our first show dog). Special Special Thanks to Steve Arnold, Summitview Farm Great Danes, Steve is also our Exclusive Handler for "Shadow". There are many other breeders and Danes that have touched our lives and we offer thanks to those as well and we look forward to many more to come in our Dane adventures.
